Last night I set up another blog elsewhere. My experience at Xanga has sort of gone stagnant and I wanted to start fresh. I don't feel like I can write with complete honesty here anymore.

I'll still sign in from time to time to catch up with some of you. I would never shut this site down completely. The last six years of my life are here.

I'll be telling some of you where I moved soon. Don't take offense if you aren't one of them. I just wanted to go somewhere where I could write for myself.

This is a Filipino lullaby called "Sa Ugoy Ng Duyan." I included English subtitles, but the program I used to edit this had a time limit on subtitles. I apologize if they move too fast.

For the record, I'm nowhere near fluent in Tagalog. If any of my Filipino readers still use Xanga, I'm more than open to constructive criticism. I'm curious as to whether or not I sing with an American accent.

What makes them assume that she's listening to Beethoven? I'll go ahead and answer my own question. She's Asian, so clearly she was forced to play the piano or violin before the age of 7. Now that she's a grown virtuoso adult who rides Muni wearing business casual, her love for classical music is even stronger. It's so obvious! ;P

Still, I don't get how this is supposed to scare us into paying attention. Why is it so awful that Beethoven could be the last thing she hears? Dying while listening to Beethoven is a lot more respectable than dying while listening to Soulja Boy or Kid Rock. Probably better on your psyche too. Dying while mentally relaxed as opposed to dying with a lot of pent-up rage.

Really though, look both ways before crossing the street and take the time to develop classy, sophisticated musical taste, if you haven't already. Do you want Britney Spears to be the last thing you hear?

I've got a full-size weighted Casio keyboard with built-in speakers in my dorm room now. My dad snagged it for less than $200 on Black Friday, but I didn't get to take it home until today, coming back from the holiday festivities. Now you all get to witness my first time playing with it here.

Hope all is well with everyone. I apologize for being a crappy reader/commenter. Xanga's gotten a little too complicated for my liking and I'm also slipping as a writer. I hope to get back to journaling eventually. I'm not sure if it's going to be public or private, and I'm not sure if I'm going to stay here, but if I move, I'll definitely let you know where to find me.

They say it isn't a good idea to take a wheatgrass shot on an empty stomach. This is true.

It's an even worse idea to take an hour old wheatgrass shot on an empty stomach. To think I rock-paper-scissored for it....

I blame Michelle, the customer who paid for it, left, and never came back. At least my poop will look cool later. I ate a lot of fruit and fiber today, so in addition to looking cool, it will most likely be a triple-flusher. Maybe I'll post a video.....

Dude! I feel horrible! So sometimes, I read old Xanga posts. Easier than writing new ones, you know. I'm a Xanga has-been.

To the readers who have been around forever: do you happen to remember back in late November/early December 2006 when I was posting original tanagas written by my readers? Apparently, I missed Cleo's submission. Erm, better late than never?

Honestly, I'm perfectly fine with the idea of not getting anything. Don't take this the wrong way, but I feel especially bad for all of my non-Christian friends and family. I hate seeing so many non-believers get so worked up this time of year over a holiday they don't even celebrate outside of the massive gift exchange.

I know that I add to the stress doubly as a Christmas Eve baby. A lot of people don't want to offend by only getting me a birthday present. I used to make a big deal over that in the past and I'm sorry if my whining and crying added unnecessary stress to an already chaotic season. I still think it's tactless when people make it clear that they're using me as a way to "cut corners", but I'm through with making a scene over something that has nothing to do with why we celebrate. If you don't celebrate Christmas, don't feel like you have to give me two gifts. If you do celebrate Christmas, pray on it and spend your money in a way that you feel is most true to the season. Savvy?

For those of you who still want to give me something, I'm getting addicted to Scrubs and only own Season 1. I set up a wish list at Target for Seasons 2-7. It's the easiest way to make sure there are no repeats and everybody and their grandma shops there. If memory serves me correctly, the cheapest set was like $23 and the most expensive was about $36. If that's out of your range and you still want to give me a present, I trust your judgment and I'll be perfectly happy if you donate to charity in my name. Seriously.

As for me, I'm going to keep it pretty low-key this year because I'm back to working for minimum wage for the first time since my first job at Red Robin. I'm tentatively thinking that I'll bake a sugary treat of some sort in a Costco-worthy amount and distribute the goods evenly among all of my friends. Maybe I'll shop for immediate family or something. Something for me to pray on...
