  • What Can I Do

Featuring my dad on electric guitar, me on keyboards, and my mom as the female vocals. Recorded in my dad's home studio in 2003 for our church's Vacation Bible Camp. Proof that learning piano from a guitar player didn't totally screw me over. =P
  • Oh My Love's Like a Red, Red Rose

"LIKE a MEL-o-dee, like a MEL-o-dee!" Good times in high school choir! =P
  • Be Here to Love Me

I sang this one at my grandparents' Golden Anniversary party. Some old Filipino man passed up a napkin that said "Hollywood Bound" afterwards. Old Filipino people are funny! :D
  • Someone Else's Story

From CHESS: ZE MUSICALE! =P I need some constructive criticism here. I know I'm flat on the last note, breathy at certain phrases, and not supporting my low notes very well. Is there anything else you guys hear? Keep your eye out for a second attempt over winter break. =)
  • Usahay

A Visayan love song composed by Nitoy Gonzales. In all fairness to the Pinoys/Pinays who may be listening, I'm a 3rd gen Mestiza with a dorky accent. Feel free to correct my pronunciation. I won't be offended at all. In all fairness to anybody with ears, the sound quality is awful. Horrible balance and it's constantly cutting in and out. I recorded this as a podcast using the built-in mic on my laptop and Garage Band wouldn't let me directly import the Angelo Favis audio file backing me up, so the ridiculous amount of clicking you hear before and after is me opening iTunes in another window. To end on a more positive note, I'm very thrilled to be posting my first recording ever of a Filipino song. :)
  • Isn't It Romantic?

I've been a huge fan of sappy vocal jazz since I discovered Ella Fitzgerald in seventh grade. Steve Tyrell does a great rendition of this song. The first time I heard it, I felt like I could see Steve smiling at me just by hearing him sing. This version is slightly slower than the Tyrell version, allowing me to be a little sultry, but I also tried to bring a feeling of playfulness to it. When you listen to this, I hope you can see the smile that was on my face. (See? Past the tough exterior, I'm a hopeless romantic. Don't tell anyone! ;P)
  • Gratias

Part of Haydn's Harmoniemesse. This is a live recording of West Valley College's Masterworks Chorale in December 2004 featuring Yours Truly as the alto soloist and my buddy Cynthia as the soprano soloist.
